Rollyo Custom Search Engine
January 31st, 2006Rollyo is what I believe is the solution to my problem sifting through bookmarks and the index/search feature I described I wanted to have on delicious.
Basically you enter the urls you want and it creates a custom search engine.
The downside as I see it is what it appears to only allow you to enter 25 urls, which is far to few to have all of my bookmarks. Now if someone could come up with a service that combined the features of Rollyo and Delicious, I’m in.

Rollyo is great if you would like to create a small custom search app. For instance I made one that scours popular web 2.0 blogs to see who is blogging about RSS, or AJAX or any other technology or company. At Seekum we are building a search engine that unlike Rollyo is not custom, but allows you vote down results that you do not like or up results that you do like. When applied to the entire web you can see some interesting sites. I would be thrilled if you would come by and check it out.
